Joe was a constant inspiration to us all, and on more than one occasion he offered me good advice. He had the coolest logo on the site too, and I will miss seeing it in the competitions. I think Joe was a good friend to everyone on here....I don't know of any hard feelings he ever had with any of the competitors or judges. He had his own style, and you could recognize his hot licks as soon as he started to play...he was very distinctive. I'll miss ya, Joe. |

He'd stop for a bit to throw out a few choice barbs here 'n there, then go back to jamming. That's how I'll remember him. His tunes are quite varied & have a nice mood-setting. I believe he has already been sought out in the afterlife for a few collabs with the greats that have gone before him. |

I remember that night like it was yesterday. He brought ALL his gear with him to the show. 3 guitars (cuz he couldn't make up his mind which one he wanted EJ to sign) his amp, pedals...you name it. I'm surprised he didn't want to pack up his computer and bring it along too! I was SOOOO scared that something was going to happen to it while we were in the show. All of it wouldn't fit in the trunk of my car, so we had to flip the back seats down leaving that Strat and his Johnson Amp exposed through the windows. He wasn't worried about it, he just wanted his autograph. I was SO relieved when he went to get the car after the show and everything was still intact. What a blast we had! D@mn Joe, I wish you didn't have to leave us so soon. I miss you. |
